Our Story
When my mother died, my world went silent. The oven was never lit. Family stopped visiting. And when I entered her house, it felt constructed of paper and glue.
Following that experience, I wrote a series of books about loneliness—first, a story about a child who climbed into a spacesuit and tried to find his mother in the stars. The theme of loneliness expanded. And with it, the series.
Additional books and themes followed, most of which were rooted in the concept of living (or attempting to live) in a more visceral and precise way.
These concepts can be dense—but they are most enjoyable when kept brief.
Hence, the launch of the publishing company 10 Sentence Books® and our coining of the term a brevity publisher®, which term serves as our tagline.
Thank you for considering our mission and publications.
